The Rose Farm is currently owned and operated by 11th generation members of the family. Robert, Al, and Dave Rose operate the farm and their families live and work here too.
Since the 1600's the Rose family has farmed the land on the Branford/North Branford town line. Over the last hundred years the farm has alternated from an orchard, which was decimated during the Hurricane of '38, to a dairy farm, and back again to an orchard in the early '70s. Recently we have expanded our offerings to include a greenhouse filled with tomatoes, other vegetables, bedding plants, and hanging baskets. In addition the family makes their own maple syrup, operates a soft serve frozen custard stand and a bakery, and is expanding their agri-tourism business.
Each season we offer a variety of produce, goods, and plants. Summer: Pick your own, our own fruits and vegetables, animal pen, ice cream Fall: Corn maze, hay maze, pumpkins, hay rides, ice cream, pies Winter: Christmas trees, hot cider, ice cream, wreaths Spring: Plants, farm market, ice cream, animals, flowers
On our 50 acre farm we grow apple, peaches, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, pears, tomatoes, squash, corn, mums, flowers, lettuce, and more. In the next few years we hope to expand to offer more goods and services to your and your families.
